This unit comes standard with the kit items needed to automate your gate, including mounting brackets (hardware to affix brackets to the gate and column are not included). The Estate Swing 1000D includes a generous sized control box you can house a larger Group size 24 battery than most gate operating systems. A larger Group size 24 battery means more cycles during a time of power outages or low sunlight (if solar is being used). A fully charged Group size 24 deep cycle battery will provide up to 300 cycles or an average of 30 days usage on a basic system before requiring a recharge. Group size 24 battery is not included. The Estate Swing Solar series is designed with some of the same great features as the Estate Swing classic line but made with 12 volt power to enable the solar option. DIY Gate Openers even provides solar panels (5 watt or 10 watt) within the DIY kit to make your purchasing choice hassle-free. The Estate Swing Solar series can be used with higher wattage panels with minimal modifications. Capable of adapting to extreme solar applications, you can match any size 12 volt battery (box fits max group size 24) and any wattage solar panel* to the system. * Solar panels must be matched up to compatible solar charger. Estate Swing gate opener features for DIY installers include: no learning procedure, magnetic limit switches, and fully adjustable brackets. Estate Swing Solar series has no learning procedure; because of its smart usage it runs from one limit to the other without having to learn the procedure to the processor. Meanwhile the magnetic limit switches are adjustable on the bottom of the arm; simply slide them to where you need them. The included fully adjustable brackets can be made to fit any situations. The solar panel absorbs solar energy and charges the 12 volt battery (not included). The gate opener then runs off this charged battery. Your solar panel can be installed up to 250 feet away from the control box (and charge controller). If you are using the A/C charging option, instead of solar, your transformer can be up to 1000' away from the gate opener control box. For both of the above options the battery is maintained directly by either the solar panel or the transformer. One major benefit of this Estate Swing Solar series is that it only has one power supply connecting to the control board. Fewer wires means it's simpler to install and simpler to use.
